We’re still concerned about issues like the height of the block which appears to overlook Ainsworth St, the “walled off” design of the Chisholm Trail, and the fragmentation of the open space.

A good time for another look and comment – this is the main document for the proposed changes. All improvements, maybe, but the extent to which Ainsworth St is overlooked is still much bigger than expected and the Chisholm Trail may still be walled off – and the extra house on Hooper St is probably still meaning awkward access to it.

The planning permission application for the Mill Road Depot site is open to comment now – until Feb 2nd – and although there are bound to be complications, sooner is better. Probably the best overview is to read section 4 of the design & access statement, which I’m republishing here.
