Just a few more days to vote!

Ladies and Gentlemen.
Drumroll please for our twelve shortlisted poster designs! As you may remember, both last year AND the year before it was absolutely neck-and-neck until the very end, with just a couple of votes separating the eventual winner and the runner up, so YOUR vote counts!!
Which do YOU think should be our fabulous poster for this year’s PACT Summer Event? For ease of reference, this year we’ve numbered them all to avoid confusion, so please let me know which one YOU think is the best!
Congratulations and good luck to everyone shortlisted, and better luck next year to those who didn’t quite make it this time. It’s wonderfully exciting to see the standard continue to improve year on year.
So: the voting starts…. NOW. One vote per person: but please feel free to forward this entire post showing ALL the shortlisted designs to all your friends, family and colleagues living or working or studying in this area to give THEM the opportunity to vote too!

Calling all!

Dear All… As you know, the proposed Local Plan is attempting to slip a number of deeply concerning plans into what essentially will become law. Residents’ letters and emails about the most worrying of these local Local Plan intentions have succeeded in getting the attention of both our MP and the local press.

SO we’ve just heard from Cambridge News (CEN).

They’re sending a photographer for 5:30pm TOMORROW (Tuesday 10th), meeting at the Howard Mallett site, to take pictures of anyone concerned about those intentions. If you believe that the Howard Mallett site should not be carved up for office/residential development, or are concerned about other Local Plan intentions, then please please please join us there…

The more people we can muster for the photograph, the more powerful our message. The reverse is also true: if no-one turns up, the Council can simply shrug and dismiss our concerns and objections.
CAN YOU JOIN US?

Please come. Bring your families, your friends, your neighbours, your colleagues, random strangers… 
Aim for everyone to BE THERE BY 5:25pm …

PACT in the news in March

PACT’s chair Anna was interviewed about PACT’s activities and our Summer Event on Cambridge 105 Radio’s 105 Drive by Julian Clover at the end of March. Listen to the podcast featuring the interview on the Cambridge 105 website (or listen to the trimmed version with just Anna’s interview).

Also in the news at the end of March was the winner of the PACT/Norfolk St. Summer Event poster design competition, Lily Bracey. On 30th March, Cambridge News pictured Lily, along with other shortlisted entrants from St. Matthew’s Primary School and PACT trustees.
