The increasingly popular PACT Summer Event along Norfolk Street is back! Featuring music, games, activities, a hugely popular tombola, food, facepainting, participation by local businesses, a carnival parade and more, this is an event not to be missed, whatever your age or interests.
This year, in addition to our most popular participants from previous years (the Chinese Community Lion Dance, Coton Morris Men; the Andy Bowie Jazz Band; St.Matthew’s School, Siâna’s Hula Hooping etc) the Event is privileged to welcome even more participation – from a food fair to a one-day gallery highlighting the work of local artists and curated by Irene Wilkes; from sports activities organised by ChYpPS, martial arts displays by Carisma, dance and music by the Menelik foundation, all the way through to hands-on excitement with the British Science Association and the wonderful Corinne Blandin-Eaglings’s Celebrate! activities.
In honour of this year’s Tour de France, visitors to this year’s PACT Summer Event are also invited to look out for allusions to France and bicycles woven throughout the Event – from artwork, to a special section in the carnival parade reserved for dressed-up bicycles!

Entrance and participation in this glorious community celebration is free, and all are welcome. By kind permission and involvement by PACT, local individuals, schools, and businesses, and an Awards for All grant.
