County Council Wards

Posted on by

The boundary commission is consulting on changes to ward boundaries -including no longer having a Petersfield ward! The proposed St Matthew’s and St Paul’s wards aren’t bad, though the former is better than the latter, probably. There are good things and bad ones – the details are here:

Consultation is open until 6th July 2015. Do email chair at pactcambridge.org if you think there are aspects where we should coordinate a response. Right now, we’re not sure how we feel about it all.

Bins!

Posted on by

The council is working to improve their environmental care, and as part of that have 10 new recycling and general litter bins available this year for Petersfield, and 3 new dog bins. If you would like to propose a location for one of these bins, you can contact one of our city council ward councillors – we would be happy to make that happen if you like, feel free to email or contact us of you prefer. Our county councillor Ashley Walsh suggested a bin on Vera’s walk which seems like a very good idea.
